Starchild uses Pay Pal and Pay Pal’s Virtual Terminal for our Credit Card Processing. These have been proven to be safe and secure payment methods. Additionally, Pay Pal and Starchild are PCI compliant.
Due to the nature of these computer generated reports, refunds are not possible.
Starchild is not responsible for typographical errors or inaccurate order information sent by the client to our third party provider. Please make sure your e-mail address and all information entered on the order form is correct.
Due to the nature of Email
Readers make every effort to respond to email readings as soon as possible. Our readers hand type all email readings and, unlike the astrology reports, a computer program is not used. Due to this and other universal and human factors it can sometimes take up to a week for an email reading to be completed.
A Five Minute Rule is in effect for all professional services including psychic readings and healing sessions.
This means that if either the client or the reader stops the reading within the first five minutes of the session, the client receives a full refund. After the first five minutes have passed, the reader or client may stop the reading at any time and the client is charged only for the amount of time spent in the reading which is roughly $3.00 per minute, but depends on the reader and type of reading. If a client goes over the allotted reading time scheduled they will be charged a per minute overtime fee (roughly $3.00 per minute, but depends on the reader and the type of reading) for the extra time the reader spends with them.
A tape of the reading is made for the client. In person clients, receive their tape for free. Phone clients are charges an additional $3.00 for the shipping and processing of the tape. Tapes are *NEVER* a guarantee and you’re not paying for a tape with a reading on it, rather you’re paying for the reader’s time. If the tape does not turn out due to mechanical malfunction, or if it does not arrive in the mail for any reason, Starchild may not be held responsible.
There is a non- refundable registration fee due at time of registration for all of our classes and events. (This fee is anywhere from $5 on up and depends upon the class)
In order to attend a class you must register and pay the registration fee at least 24 hours in advance of the date the class or event is scheduled to run.
To receive a full refund (minus your registration fee) you must cancel your attendance of a class 24 hours before the date the class or event is scheduled to run. You must call the store at 941-743-0800 to cancel your attendance (no e-mails please). If an associate is not available, please leave a message with your information on the voice mail system. If you do not call to cancel your attendance you will be charged for the full amount of the class or event.
If you have fully pre-paid for a class, and you’ve failed to attend that class you have a 24 hour period of time from the date of the class or event to alert us in order to receive a store class credit for your paid amount. If a store class credit is issued customers have a 3 months period of time to use the credit.
Should a teacher become ill or incapable of teaching a class you will be notified of the cancellation and will be given a store credit for the amount that you paid (including your registration fee). If a credit is issued customers have a 3 months period of time to use that credit. In extreme circumstances and with the approval of the store owner a full return may be possible.
Damaged merchandise that has been shipped to you may be returned for replacement at no cost.
Due to the delicate nature of certain objects in the store we ask that you please handle things with care and watch all children. Quality is important to us, please respect the more delicate items in the store and ask for assistance. Purchase of items may be necessary if an item is broken.
A store credit is issued for all returned merchandise. In order to receive a store credit you must supply us with the merchandise as well as the original sales receipt you received at time of purchase. Starchild is not responsible for supplying additional receipts. If a credit is issued customers have a 3 month period of time to use the credit.
Cash back returns are sometimes given provided that the merchandise purchased is returned the same day. In this case you will be given a refund in the form of payment tendered on the original sales receipt. You will receive the amount paid minus a $3.00 restocking fee.
CD's and DVD's cannot be returned or exchanged if opened.
All special orders require the full amount of the order to be paid in full prior to the order being placed. If for some unforeseen reason we are incapable of acquiring the merchandise you have ordered, you will be entitled to a store credit. Customers must use the credit within 3 months of the date given.
NOTE: Special orders can take anywhere from 2-6 weeks to locate and/or fill. Please plan accordingly for birthdays, holidays, and special events. We do our best to provide an accurate estimate of arrival time, but various factors play a role into this
Layaway is an in store only service that is offered for merchandise only. Our layaway system requires a customers first and last name as well as 2 contact phone numbers. A physical and e-mail address may also be required. Layaway requires 25% of the total purchase down and 25% per week until the item is paid in full.
If a customer missed more than 2 weeks the merchandise will be returned to the shelf and there will be no refund of any type offered.
We will make an attempt to contact customers prior to returning the merchandise to the shelf if we notice they have missed a payment. Customers have a 24 hour period of time to return our call.
Merchandise Gift Certificates may be purchased in any amount. Customers will have a 3 month period of time to use the gift certificate. Certificates for merchandise are not valid for classes or services. If the certificate does not fully cover the total, the customer is responsible for paying the remainder. There are no refunds of any kind given for merchandise certificates.
Reading Gift Certificates can be given in any amount. These are valid for reading only and not valid for merchandise or classes. Customers have a 1 month period of time to use the reading certificate. There will be no refunds of any kind given for reading certificates. If the certificate does not fully cover the total, the customer is responsible for paying the remainder.
Class Gift Certificates can be given in any amount. These are valid for classes only and not valid for services or merchandise. Customers will have a 3 month period of time to use the certificate. If the certificate amount does not fully cover the class, the customer is responsible for paying the remainder. There will be no refunds of any kind given for class certificates.
Starchild never trades or sells personal information that is provided to us, including email addresses, postal addresses, or phone numbers.
